OSHA-10
The OSHA-10 course provides employees with training on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of workplace hazards. Information pertaining to workers’ rights, employer responsibility, and how to properly file a complaint are all also covered in this course.
OSHA-30
The OSHA-30 course provides a variety of training that is more in-depth and expands on multiple topics that are associated with workplace hazards in each industry. OSHA provides authorized trainers procedures for each industry program on the topic outlines for each industry.
AWS Certification
Charles Leonard Steel Services is certified by the American Welding Society (AWS). Many of our customers and clients rely on this certification to ensure that they will receive the highest level of quality workmanship.
CWI Certification
At Charles Leonard Steel Services, we have an in-house Certified Welding Inspector (CWI). This allows us to constantly be training and testing our employees to become certified in all aspects of welding. The Certified Welding Inspector has immense knowledge and experience in many fields of welding. This allows the inspector to train and test our employees on many different welding processes and procedures.
Welding Certifications
Our certified welders have completed specially designed exams which thoroughly test the welder’s capability to create welds of acceptable quality by following a defined welding procedure. These techniques are reviewed by our on-site certified welding inspector (CWI).
Signal Person Training
This certification is used as Employer Audited Qualified Signal Person Training as well as NCCCO (National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators) Certified Signal Person examination prep. By having this certification, the individual meets the training required to meet OSHA 1926.1400. This training includes site evaluation, electrical hazards, hand, audible, and radio signaling, crane dynamics, load charts, and basic rigging.
Rigging Training & Qualification
This certification is used as Employer Audited Qualified Signal Person Training as well as NCCCO (National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators) Certified Rigging Level 1 and 2 exam prep. By having this certification, the individual meets the training requirements that include site evaluation, wire ropes, rigging equipment, load handling, crane dynamics, signaling, lift plans, practical training exercises, and OSHA regulations.
CPR/AED & First Aid
All key staff members at CLSS have completed CPR/AED and First Aid training through the American Red Cross. This certification covers cardiopulmonary resuscitation training and automated external defibrillator training. Also covered in this certification is training in general first aid.
Aerial Lift Certifications
We have certified trainers and operators in the field and in our fabrication shop for various aerial lifts (i.e. forklifts, man/boom lifts, lulls).
Steel Fabricators of New England
Charles Leonard Steel Services is a proud member of Steel Fabricator of New England (SFNE). This organization is committed to help serve the building and bridge construction markets in New England. They help promote the business of fabricated structural steel through education, legislative advocacy, and networking activities.
